Total Time: 4 hrs 15 mins
Servings: 8
Ingredients
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 pound ground turkey
Non-stick cooking spray
2 (10.75 ounce) cans low-sodium tomato soup
2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans, drained
1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained
½ medium onion, chopped
2 tablespoons chili powder
½ tablespoon garlic powder
½ tablespoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 pinch ground black pepper
1 pinch ground allspice
Salt, to taste
Instructions
Gather and prep all ingredients ahead of time for a smooth cooking process.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground turkey, break it into small crumbles with a spatula, and cook until evenly browned all through. Drain any excess grease from the cooked turkey.
Lightly coat the inner basin of your slow cooker with cooking spray, then add the drained cooked turkey, tomato soup, kidney beans, black beans, and chopped onion. Stir until all ingredients are evenly combined.
Season the mixture with chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, red pepper flakes, black pepper, allspice, and salt, then stir again to distribute the seasonings evenly throughout the chili.
Cover the slow cooker with its lid. Cook on Low heat for 8 hours for a deep, slow-simmered flavor, or on High heat for 4 hours for a faster weeknight dinner.
Serve warm with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
